Padawan Updates: No longer need access tokens
January 9, 2023
Padawan is now even easier to use
In an effort to streamline operations and make it even easier to get your sites deployed on Party Bus Padawan, we have eliminated the need to obtain a site-specific PADAWAN_REGISTRY_ACCESS_TOKEN
on both the https://code.il2.dso.mil and https://code.il4.dso.mil GitLab instances.
When does this go into effect?
It is already in effect. This feature became available on January 10, 2023.
What do I do with my existing token?
You can delete it! In your GitLab project's Settings→CI/CD→Variables simply delete the variable PADAWAN_REGISTRY_ACCESS_TOKEN
.
Your existing PADAWAN_REGISTRY_ACCESS_TOKEN
will continue to work until at least Feb 28, 2023, but after that time we will start disabling site-specific access tokens. If you run into issues related to your PADAWAN_REGISTRY_ACCESS_TOKEN
, just delete it.
So I can deploy on Padawan without a token now?
Yes! If you have a GitLab account on https://code.il2.dso.mil or https://code.il4.dso.mil you no longer need a PADAWAN_REGISTRY_ACCESS_TOKEN
for your site. Get started by creating a new site!
